All Saints Day
On Sunday, November 7th, 2021, we will celebrate All Saints Day. At Trinity Church, we will remember the Saints of Christian history – and of our own lives. We will acknowledge the witness, the presence of the communion of Saints. We will feel the love of a ‘Cloud of Witnesses’ who are always with us. We have 2 invitations for you!!
The Collect from the Book of Common Prayer for All Saints Day names the ‘mystical body’ of the Church, the body of Christ: “Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.” All Saints Day is a mystical day, when the veil between this life and the next is more transparent: we glimpse eternity. Help us make this a personal and beautiful celebration.
