At Trinity, music is for everyone! On Sundays, we join in singing together the favorite hymns of our Episcopal tradition, and we blend in some more contemporary worship music as well. Our musical worship is led by the Trinity Choir, accompanied by our magnificent Austin Pipe Organ and our concert-worthy Baldwin Grand Piano. On special Sundays, we will welcome guest musicians, and our church school children particularly enjoy occasionally presenting a song. Our Trinity Choir is comprised of both volunteer and professional singers and is open to anyone who loves to sing: No experience necessary! Throughout the year, the sanctuary, with its marvelous acoustics, hosts a variety of concerts that have become a vital part of the cultural fabric of the Newtown community. Come and see what music at Trinity is all about!

Music
Music is integral to our worship and a meaningful part of our Sunday morning service. Enthusiastic congregational singing is encouraged and supported by a fine Austin pipe organ as well as piano, and music of various styles facilitates the worship. Our Choir of Men and Women is a talented group of adults who sing on Sundays plus other special services from September to June. With rehearsals on Thursday evenings, membership is open to all adults who love to sing and are committed to the music of the church. All are welcome in the choir, regardless of singing experience or level of singing ability.
Church members are invited to share their talents, whether instrumental or vocal, and all ages are encouraged to participate in the music ministry at Trinity.
We’re very proud of our organ with its 2,369 pipes arranged in 43 ranks and made of tin-lead alloy, zinc, brass, poplar and mahogany. Our Austin Organ, Opus 2652, is the fourth instrument in the present Trinity Church building, but only the second pipe organ. The Austin organ was chosen from among the several possible builders because of a history of reliability, and because of the tonal beauty and versatility.
