Dear all, decisions this past weekend by our Governor and guidance from our Bishops means doing even more things differently for Trinity Church. As of today, our parish building is closing until it is reasonable for us to gather after this pandemic. As such our clergy and staff will now be working from home. Be assured you can reach us by email, a phone call or text message and our commitment is to respond to you within 24 hours. Following Jesus in the Midst of a Pandemic
“Through him you have come to trust in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are set on God.” 1 Peter 1:21 The author of the First Letter of Peter is writing to followers of Jesus who are exiles, dispersed in the foreign lands of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. In uncertain and difficult times, the writer calls these early Christians to trust in the truth of the Resurrection, to put their faith and hope in God, and work to restore, support and strengthen those who are suffering. (1 Peter 5:9-10) We who are living in the midst of the realities of the COVID-19 pandemic (as the World Health Organization now characterizes the coronavirus) are living in uncertain and difficult times, not unlike the experience of the early Christians. We have never been At 9:30am on Sunday, worship will be available online. As our part in flattening the curve of spreading COVID-19, we are suspending in person Sunday worship and all parish activities until further notice. Pray for one another. Steady yourself in God’s grace. Let us know how you are doing. Know that we are praying for you. If you feel the need to pray in the Sanctuary, the doors will be open Monday through Friday from 8am-noon. |
