Thank you to everyone who attended and gave such generous donations for our Palm Sunday Youth Fundraiser Buffet Breakfast. It was a lovely time of fellowship and our youth will put the donation money to good use on their two trips this summer as they go out into the world to help others at Heads Up! Hartford and at Common Cathedral in Boston.
A HUGE thank you to Patrick and Marcia DeBrock for leading the breakfast, coordinating the volunteers, and donating the food toward this Youth Fundraiser. Thank you to all who helped in the kitchen as well including Nick DeBrock, Ed Wojtowicz, Nancy Cole, Noel Bellesheim, Randy Lewis, Sue Lewis, Sue Roman, Larry Coleman, Laurie Trotto, Earl Gordon, Dan & Linde Bacon, Jeanne & Mark Benedict, and our youth and parents. It takes a village, and Trinity is a wonderful village!
A gourmet buffet breakfast will be served in the Glover Community Room on Sunday, April 9th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A free-will donation bowl will be on the buffet table. All donations will go toward our youth mission trips: Heads Up! Hartford--a week of service right here in Connecticut and the J2A class Urban Adventure to feed the homeless at Boston's Common Cathedral.
Please RSVP using the form below. If you can't make it, please make on online donation to support our Trinity Youth Mission Trips in 2017.
Youth please sign up here to help.
Our youth service trip this summer will be to Hartford to participate in the Heads Up! Hartford program from June 22 to 29. It is open to Trinity youth and friends in grades 8th through 12th.
The registration is open for Heads Up! Hartford which is our destination for our 2017 Trinity Youth Mission Trip/Camp since it has so many of the great qualities we loved about Workcamp - but with way better sleeping arrangements, food, and private showers! Whoo hoo!
HU!H is also more inclusive, more aligned with our beliefs/theology/worship, and gives our youth a chance to serve with a diverse group right here in our own state!
This is a wonderful opportunity (only select church/groups from across the state get invited to participate) so we need to get our registration forms and deposits in early since there is a space-limitation for the camp.
Please download the HU!H Trinity Information Booklet 2017 and brochure below. There are links to the registration in the booklet.
If you’d rather not have to print all the registration forms out – please stop by the Church School Office handout table and take home a printed packet any time. FYI the HU!H website says, “The forms are used for different purposes SO MUST NOT BE PRINTED OR COPIED BACK-TO-BACK.”
Registration Forms and $200 deposit are due by March 31st.
We’re hoping to do at least a couple of fundraisers to help reduce costs and support the HU!H organization and provide need-based scholarships. So the balance (of not more than $175 – depending on how much we make on fundraisers) will be due on May 7th. Please see the info booklet for more info.
The Heads Up! Hartford website also has pictures and more information so check it all out, and contact me with any questions.
So excited for our Trinity Youth to have this chance to help others while growing in faith and having fun!
Heads Up! Hartford is coming to talk about the mission camp experience. This is a wonderful opportunity for Trinity Youth to participate in this diverse ministry which provides community service in June in the Hartford area.
Two experienced youth campers and two adults leaders will be here on January 22nd at 10:45 am to meet with youth in 8th-12th grade and their parents.
More information is available on their website at http://headsuphartford.org/summer-camp-week/what-a-week-is-like/

There will be a short, alternative worship service, we’ll learn about our visitors from El Salvador, we’ll hang out and have dinner and fun. This takes the place of Sunday morning classes for Rite 13, J2A, and YAC.
RSVP to Sue Vogelman so we know to expect you.
Mark your calendars for the next 3rd Sundays on November 20th and December 18th.
Youth Formation Classes begin on September 18th after the 9:30am worship service or from about 10:45 to 11:45am.
Youth class locations are: Rite 13 (6th & 7th Grades) in the Children’s Chapel area of the Glover Community Room, J2A (8th & 9th Grades) meets upstairs in the John Beach Room, and YAC (10th, 11th, & 12th Grades) will meet downstairs in the basement Youth Room.
Youth Classes are using the Leader Resources Youth Ministry Center membership to allow for more flexibility in the lesson planning with seasonal Trinity-inspired themes, and to provide opportunities to tie the lessons into real world events and outreach.
