Adult Forum: At
the same time as Church School after the second service, adults
can explore various aspects of faith and life at the "Forum".
Adult Bible Study:
There are two sessions of participatory Bible Study on Sundays.
One meets every Sunday between the first and second service, another
meets periodically after the second service. The course is an introduction
to the Bible course and concentrates on ten key people of the Bible
and how to read the Bible with confidence.
Kerygma: A curriculum-based
in-depth Bible course that has study materials and trained leaders.
It meets during the week.
Forward: Home
study on a self-directed basis using the publication "Forward
Day by Day."
Devotional Mailings:
Twice a year members receive Advent and Lenten self-directed individual
and family study materials.
Foundations of Faith:
All new members are given the opportunity to attend a clergy-led
introduction to the Episcopal tradition.
Men's Breakfast:
Every Saturday morning from 7 to 8:30am there is a breakfast that
always includes a study of the lessons for the following day's service.
Trinity Library:
Trinity is blessed to have an excellent lending library of books
on many subjects. There is a section for children, youth and adults.
Midweek Bible Study:
Each Wednesday at 12:30 or following the noon Holy Eucharist on
Feast Days, a group gathers with a bag lunch to journey through
various books of the Bible. Discussion is lively and interactive.
Audio/Video Library:
Trinity offers a selection of recorded audio and visual materials
on many subjects. The materials are always expanding with topics
on spiritual growth, sermons and previous "forums" that
members can watch at home or listen to at home or in their cars.
Christian Book Club:
Participants read a group-selected book and then meet at a location
to discuss it.
Tract Racks: Self-directed
study materials are available on racks at the rear of the church
and at the door near the rear parking lot. They deal with many aspects
of faith and challenging issues that we all face such as grief,
and dealing with difficult family issues.
Prayer Book: There
are Bibles in the pews that are available to take home (we are delighted
to replace them). The Book of Common Prayer (which we would prefer
you purchase) contains a "catechism" of our faith in a
question and answer format.
Parish Retreat:
Once a year there is a parish overnight weekend retreat at Holy
Cross Monastery in West Park, New York.
Committees and Commissions:
All commissions and committees are committed to begin each meeting
with some form of adult education or Bible study.
